LIFE AS HE KNOWS (Chapter 8)

Commitment-phobic Tunde finally makes a connection with Dele, the hunk with the beautiful eyes and brother to his colleague, Kola.

And now, for today’s episode…

*

Dele watched as Tunde walked towards the gate to his house. He turned to wave one last time before disappearing through it. Dele gave a heavy sigh and placed his head on the headrest of the car. Their date had been wonderful as usual and it was all Dele could do to not grab today and crush him in an embrace whenever he smiled or unintentionally touched him.

Dele had been in love before. More accurately, he thought he’d been in love. With Angie. He was still fighting his sexuality then, and he had found Angie beautiful and wonderful to be with, up to the point that they dated for many years. But as Dele slowly started accepting his sexuality, whatever unconscious vibes he gave seemed to fuel Angie’s determination to make him put a ring on it. She hinted subtly at first, before going at it almost head-on, getting into fights with him over the issue. Then, one day, he blurted out that he couldn’t marry her because he liked men. It was in that moment he started crying, because it was the first time ever he had said it out loud, and it was such a relief. Angie was disappointed. Five years with him had just gone down the drain. But in spite of her disappointment, their connection remained strong. She consoled him and held him until he fell asleep that night. They remained friends after that night. Presently, she was seeing someone else, and things were looking good for them. She hardly complained about her beau, but she apparently still loved Dele very much, even though it’d been three years since they ended their relationship. Continue reading

‘The Sex Is Continually Off The Chain.’ – Lee Daniels Dishes On His Relationship With Younger Boo

lee-danielsLee Daniels has never shied away from his sexuality since stepping into the mainstream, following the success of such films as Precious, The Butler, and now his Fox show, Empire. But for the first time ever, the 55-year-old critically-acclaimed director is putting it all out there when it comes to his five-year relationship with 33-year-old boyfriend Jahil Fisher and the joys of their union (the sex) as well as the insecurities (the age difference) and what makes their partnership more special than ones he had in the past. Both men were profiled in Out Magazine earlier this month and this is what Daniels had to say about the man by his side and how they make their relationship work.

On what attracted him to Fisher:

“I heard his voice before I saw him, and that’s what attracted me first — the laughter. Then I was blown away by his sense of humor. He’s pure and in the moment, and he doesn’t have a poker face. When he’s happy, it’s like happiness on steroids, and his physical features change if he’s upset. I hide my stuff well — I’ve learned to. But he doesn’t. And he makes me laugh. It’s a completely different mind-set: He introduced me to The Real Housewives of Atlanta and he’s best friends with the Kardashians’ hairstylist. He’s very hip, and he brings all of that into my antiquated way of thinking.” Continue reading

Ghosts Of A Boyfriend Past

g35This is a true life story.

I love romance. But the harsh realities of my relationships have never really indulged my fanatic belief of romance. My best friend, Chuka once told me, “Look, you need to give up your empty dreams of idyllic romance which never come to pass. There are lots and lots of guys whose thirst is real, why tie yourself down in a boring relationship when you can sample all the treats you want?”

I had no answer to Chuka, because in a weird way, I knew he was right. Nevertheless, I waited for Mister Perfect.

And so, one day in mid–September last year, I was walking to one of the banks on campus with Chuka.

And then, I saw him.

Till today, I still wonder how such a seemingly perfect encounter could eventually turn out to be such a disaster. He was the embodiment of all I had been dreaming of for years; it was like the gods had seen the desire of my dreams and sent him forth as the perfect answer to my deepest yearnings. He was almost as tall as I am, dark, slightly built, perfect white teeth revealed in a smile, with a cute butt on full display. My heart did several flip flops as I saw him walking out the bank gates at the exact same moment Chuka and I were walking in.

He and Chuka exchanged a warm greeting; it was apparent that they were friends. I simply stared mutely like a moron. Chuka made the introductions. His name was David and he owned and ran a luxury boutique quite close to the campus. He was at the bank to collect some cash for restocking his store.

I could barely conceal my eagerness and excitement till he had taken his leave. A few moments after he had left us, I blurted out, “Jeez, Chuka, who is that guy!” Continue reading

HOLY FUCK

g-stay5“Let us pray,” he said, in the darkness of his room that had the silver strings of moonlight peeping through the openings of his curtains.

His request for bedtime prayers wouldn’t have been awkward at all; not in anyway. In fact, morning and night prayers were regular where I came from. But this was different; he’d just been moaning and begging me not to stop when I had his dick in my mouth some seconds ago.

Of course I didn’t protest and he went ahead with his prayer. And then he got to that part, that part we always say to get rid of the guilt of the day. “…Lord, anyway we have sinned against you today, please forgive us.” At that point, I imagine God doing the face palm and rolling His eyes at our request for forgiveness. Yeah right, I imagined him saying. Continue reading

Dear KD: I Have A Question About Finding Love

blackmentalkingHow do guys find love, what with the harsh climes we live in?

I always did wonder, because I hear of friends and stories of people finding love, hooking up and all that. I’m 25 and I’ve never been in a relationship.

See, I’m immensely shy, I never know what to say to a guy I find attractive so I just steal glances, or stare, depending on how courageous I feel per-time. I have also been rejected a lot of times by guys who feel nothing for me whereas I feel everything for them, and I have been a victim of blackmail by ‘Kitos’.

I don’t want to recede completely into myself and become a cold, unfeeling creature as I slowly am becoming. But I do not have the courage to step up to someone and say “hey”. I’m not very outgoing, so I don’t even know where people go where they meet people. Continue reading

The Boy Who Had the Saddest Eyes

others 105Read this story listening to any song(s) that give(s) you peace – Marcus.

He came to St John’s Boys’ High at a time when I wasn’t sure what I was. In the mornings, when everybody taunted Ben, calling him a homo, sissy, fag, I watched and said nothing, afraid that Ben would get tired of being teased alone and suddenly blurt out that I did stuff with him too; and in the evenings, I visited Vera, a girl from Our Lady’s Girls’ High whom I liked a lot because she was always willing, always giving.

He came one sunny morning looking like a thing from hell, thin and droopy-eyed, his scalp a radiating mirror, an old, ugly schoolbag slung lazily on his shoulder. He stood beside Miss Lara in front of the class, and introduced himself. His name was Amara, which was another ridiculous thing about him because all the Amaras I knew were girls. Miss Lara gave him a seat by the window, and whenever I looked at him, he was either always staring outside or sketching something in his sketchpad. He hardly ever talked, always mumbling a one-word reply whenever talked to, and soon I began to think of him as a bag of monosyllables.

Whenever we played basketball, he stood under the dogonyaro tree outside the court, watching us. One day I asked, “Do you want to play?” and he shook his head, mumbled something nonsensical, and started walking away.

And so, apart from being called Solar System because of his clean haircut, he was also called Robot, Dummy, Alien. I didn’t know why, but I found myself riveted by him. Maybe it was because he had an air of mystery around him, of enigma. I would sit across from him in class and stare and stare at him, until he looked up from his book or away from the window, and his eyes would settle on mine, a lazy settling, like a pat on the head; and it would linger, his eyes, until, always, I was forced to look away, embarrassed. SPELLBOUND

Purchase this image at http://www.stocksy.com/185456Even as Jide pumped into Dapo, he knew this would be the last time they would have sex. As horny as he was, he was listening to the whirring of the ceiling fan above him than the moans below him. Dapo was amazingly sexy, hot as they come – 6 feet 2 inches, 6 packs, light skinned, nipples like raisins that make you just want to suckle, full six-seater lips that you would always want around your dick and a bubble butt to crown all of that. Every man’s dream – well, every gay man at least. He was amazing in bed, a great top and a hot bottom too, always ready to take a dick up his ass without any reluctance, his full ass quivering with every thrust and his moans rending the air with just the slightest touch, making Jide’s hard-on even harder. Dapo was amazing, horny for Jide’s dick all the time, and probably some other guys’… but who cared anyway?

He was perfect by all standards. But he was no Emeka. Jide knew his heart wasn’t in this anymore. All he had to do was close his eyes, and he could imagine Emeka below him, and he jammed Dapo full with his nine incher, every thrust taking him closer to the finish line, skewing Dapo’s moans to Emeka’s, making Jide go on and on like his life depended on it. And then he saw the light; throwing his head back, he climaxed with the kind of ferocity that startled even him.

“Damn Jide!” Dapo gasped when he was done shaking off his orgasm. “You nearly split me in two back there. I came without even jerking off. What got into you tonight?’ Continue reading

LOVE AND SEX IN THE CITY (Episode 19)

Blog_Love And Sex In The City“Who is Paschal smashing so vigorously like that abeg?” Ekene said with a giggle as he moved from the kitchen, through the connecting doorway, into the living room, where the rest of us were sprawled in various positions of relaxation on Biola’s carpeted floor and sofas. Muted coital sounds were floating out to us through the small corridor, from the guestroom at the end of the hallway.

“As in eh,” Adebola exclaimed, coming up behind Ekene. The two of them came bearing items of food we’d be having for brunch. “Since we came here, they’ve been cooped up inside there. Abeg, Biola, since when did your house turn into a brothel?”

“My dear, I have no idea o,” Biola said, as he stood before the television and flicked through DSTV stations. “Dude came to me yesterday evening with his squeeze, some young thing he invited from UniBen, and begged me to let the boy crash here for the night.”

“And you agreed?” I said with a mock-gasp. “Since when did you start becoming so charitable?” It is an understanding amongst us that Biola is just not the type of friend that will discommode himself over someone else’s convenience. He’s just not wired to be a Good Samaritan. Continue reading

The Boy I Never Had (Part 2)

g4My phone beeped as a text message came in. My pulse quickened as my heart sank. I shook off the feeling of dread that settled on me and opened the text. It was from Timi. The words I read chilled my blood instantly.

I think you misunderstood my soft nature and gestures. I am not what you think I am. A guy falling for a guy? Seriously, this is crazy. I’m not into your demeaning lifestyle.

In that instant, I felt like I had just been slammed by a fully-loaded truck traveling at full speed. The blood in my veins turned to ice. My brain reeled and raced in a wild jumble of thoughts. What did I miss? How did this happen? Perhaps it wasn’t him sending this horrible text… There was just no way on earth the caring, loving guy I had been spending so much time with and who gave off all those positive vibes could be sending such a horrible message. I was in a state of shock and disbelief for several long minutes.

And then, I snapped out of it and went into a defensive mode. And I did something I never thought I’d ever do. I denied my sexuality. Rashly and without much thought, I composed a text: I’m sorry if my text made you uncomfortable, I’m not gay, I just have a tendency to form strong emotional connections with anyone (boy or girl).

As I pressed the send button, a part of me realized that I was making a mistake and further complicating issues. His reply came soon after, and before long, we were engaged in a series of back-and-forth texts. Continue reading

Actor Neil Patrick Harris lost virginity at party

NeilPatrickHarrisHWOFSept2011Neil Patrick Harris lost his virginity at a party.

The 41-year-old actor recalled the moment he was left feeling humiliated after he got physical beneath the sheets with a woman, for the first time, at a gathering.

Speaking on NPR show ‘Fresh Air’, he explained: ”We were at a party and some girl was there from college with a friend and [she] told my group of friends that she wanted to have sex with me because I was on a TV show. And so my friends were like, ‘This is the time! It’s perfect! You have to have sex right now!’ It seemed perfect at the time … so it happened.

”So it was very warm and exciting and it was done very quickly. And then she was done — she didn’t want to date me or anything … I was sort of shell-shocked by it all. …. I thought, ‘OK. Where’s my pants?’ And then she was gone. It was very unceremonious.”

The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ hunk came out as gay in 2006 and is now married to David Burtka, and he insists he has no regrets about revealing his sexuality.

He explained: ”I knew that coming out would be an inevitability sometime. I was thankfully in a relationship with David and I was very much in love with him and it started to seem uncomfortable to not recognise him. It seemed more insulting to him to go to a movie premiere and then I get out of the car on one door, he gets out of the car on the other door, I go down the press line by myself. That just seemed disrespectful.”
