Ryan Gosling reportedly turned down the Sexiest Man Alive award

ryan-gosling_Cannes-63rdRyan Gosling reportedly turned down the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ award.

The annual honour, given by People magazine was won this year by Thor star, Chris Hemsworth. The winner is required to do a cover shoot but Ryan and his management is believed to have refused it multiple times.

An insider revealed: ”The magazine tried a few times, especially during his huge year in 2011. The consensus was he’s too serious for it, too artsy.”

However, People strongly deny that they had ever chosen the 34-year-old actor for the award this year. The magazine’s editorial director told TheWrap.com: ”While I look forward to the day when Ryan Gosling is named Sexiest Man Alive, this was not his year.

”Our 2014 honoree Chris Hemsworth was our first and only choice. If you want to know why, just look at him. I mean, seriously.”

Meanwhile, another source recently claimed that Chris was not the magazine’s first choice for the award. A source said: ”People asked Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Jake Gyllenhaal to be the pick and they all declined. A couple other people were offered it as well, but they settled with Chris because he’s hot, but he also said yes after so many nos.”

EYES WIDE OPEN

Mans eyes openIt was a normal Monday evening for me. I was making my way to the bank to deposit into the mother’s account the sum of fifty thousand naira I had carefully concealed in my wallet and carried around all day, the same money that had made me give a wide berth to anyone who mistakenly came a tad too close for comfort. The money was the proceeds from a small transaction I had carried out on my mother’s behalf and I knew she would not be too pleased if it went unaccounted for.

The journey to the bank saw me cross the ever-busy main road and walk into the bank closest to my residence. However, on getting there, I was greeted with the notice that the state government had ordered a closure of every organisation to enable people collect their permanent voters’ card.

Oh no, I groaned. The government just knew exactly how to put a wrench on things. I really at this point had no choice but to make the journey back home. I had barely taken a few steps, when my phone vibrated. It was Stanley calling, an old flame that never did work out. From time to time though, we hooked up for no-strings-attached sex. It had been almost six months since we were last in touch though.

I picked the call, and with the traces of annoyance still etched in my voice, I bellowed into the phone, “Hello.” Continue reading

Jason Collins Plans To Retire, Says There Are Closeted Players In Every Sport

JasonCollinsIt has been 18 exhilarating months since I came out in Sports Illustrated as the first openly gay man in one of the four major professional team sports. And it has been nine months since I signed with the Nets and became the first openly gay male athlete to appear in a game in one of those leagues. It feels wonderful to have been part of these milestones for sports and for gay rights, and to have been embraced by the public, the coaches, the players, the league and history.

On Wednesday at the Barclays Center, I plan to announce my retirement as an NBA player. …

… There are still no publicly gay players in the NFL, NHL or major league baseball. Believe me: They exist. Every pro sport has them. I know some of them personally. When we get to the point where a gay pro athlete is no longer forced to live in fear that he’ll be shunned by teammates or outed by tabloids, when we get to the point where he plays while his significant other waits in the family room, when we get to the point where he’s not compelled to hide his true self and is able to live an authentic life, then coming out won’t be such a big deal. But we’re not there yet.”

HIS KITO STORY (EDITION 12)

200019237-001My kito story is not quite the kito story.

I’m Ade, 22 and I have been and known I was gay for all my life. You know that kind of gayness that’s hard to miss and can be spotted from 100 miles away? I was once nominated as the “mother general” of the student hostel where I live (story for another day).

After I finished Secondary school a few years ago, I decided to move to Abuja. I had heard so much about that city, how it flowed with milk and honey, how there were lots and lots of ‘generous’ and rich gays, and how there was an abundance of good sex to be had. I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that if I managed to move to Abuja, it would only be a matter of time before I snagged my own rich, loving sugar daddy. I was emboldened by the story of my role model, Madonna, who hitchhiked her way to New York City with just $20 and is today a globally famous star.

Itching to recreate my own story of the rise to stardom, I left my lovely Osun State and moved in with an aunt who lived in one of the slums on the outskirts of Abuja. It was a squalid and depressing place, a universe away from the bright glittering mansion dripping with opulence that I yearned and craved for. But I never once let the ghetto depress me or kill my dreams; I was sure that this was only a temporary phase and soon, I would land exactly where I wished to be – in the arms of someone rich and loving, who would take care of me, and who I would love and give myself to totally.

I held on to that dream for two years. Continue reading

Chris Hemsworth crowned People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive

chris-hemsworth-768So it wasn’t Neil Patrick Harris after all. Oh no, it’s the dude who smites bad guys as a hammer-wielding Norse god in The Avengers. Chris Hemsworth will also get to fight off a terrorist hacker in Michael Mann’s upcoming cyber thriller, Blackhat, and battle a whale in Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea. But apparently there was no contest when it came to naming the Aussie star this year’s Sexiest Man Alive.

The actor, 31, thought it was “pretty funny” when he first heard the news – as did his wife, Spanish model Elsa Pataky, 38, whom he wed in 2010.

“I think you’ve bought me a couple of weeks of bragging rights around the house,” he tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “I can just say to her, ‘Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change nappies. I’m above that. I’ve made it now.’ “

SPELLBOUND

Purchase this image at http://www.stocksy.com/185456Even as Jide pumped into Dapo, he knew this would be the last time they would have sex. As horny as he was, he was listening to the whirring of the ceiling fan above him than the moans below him. Dapo was amazingly sexy, hot as they come – 6 feet 2 inches, 6 packs, light skinned, nipples like raisins that make you just want to suckle, full six-seater lips that you would always want around your dick and a bubble butt to crown all of that. Every man’s dream – well, every gay man at least. He was amazing in bed, a great top and a hot bottom too, always ready to take a dick up his ass without any reluctance, his full ass quivering with every thrust and his moans rending the air with just the slightest touch, making Jide’s hard-on even harder. Dapo was amazing, horny for Jide’s dick all the time, and probably some other guys’… but who cared anyway?

He was perfect by all standards. But he was no Emeka. Jide knew his heart wasn’t in this anymore. All he had to do was close his eyes, and he could imagine Emeka below him, and he jammed Dapo full with his nine incher, every thrust taking him closer to the finish line, skewing Dapo’s moans to Emeka’s, making Jide go on and on like his life depended on it. And then he saw the light; throwing his head back, he climaxed with the kind of ferocity that startled even him.

“Damn Jide!” Dapo gasped when he was done shaking off his orgasm. “You nearly split me in two back there. I came without even jerking off. What got into you tonight?’ Continue reading

The Father Who Accidentally Discovers His Teenage Son Is Gay And How He Handled It

iPad_user_dreamstimeAs anyone who’s ever hopped on a friend’s computer or tablet knows, Google search history is an incredibly easy way of involuntarily snooping on the device owner’s current state of affairs.

And that’s how this story begins — Reddit user HeMeYou asked to borrow his 13-year-old son’s iPad and noticed a lot of old searches popping up along the lines of “I’m gay what now?”

Luckily, there are dads like this one out there in the world. He turned to Reddit to seek advice on what to do, posting:

‘I love him regardless of which gender he loves, in fact when I was slightly older than him I had a few flings with guys, which he doesn’t know about, so I am 100% supportive. He has seemed slightly down recently, as in, he isn’t as cheerful as he once was, and I desperately want to tell him that I love him regardless of which sexuality he is.

‘What are my options? Should I wait for him to tell me? Or should I make a few hints at it?

‘I’m worried that if I don’t hint at it, that he will be worried about something that he really doesn’t have to be worried about… if that makes sense.’

And even more luckily, there are people on the internet like the ones who flooded the thread with support and guidance. Continue reading
